NOTES: These are nice, comfortable Norris planes to work with, mainly due to the narrow tapered heel. In the 1908 price list there are two ‘upgrade’ versions of the plane. The No. 15, in gunmetal with an ebony infill, and the No. 16, also in gunmetal and ebony infill, but also including a cast steel face or sole. By the 1914 catalogue, however, only the steel faced gunmetal model was available, and the model number had been changed from a No. 16 to the No. 14GS.

Later models had a noticeable upward sweep to the metal side cheeks. By 1928 the non-adjustable version had been dropped from the Norris lineup.
