NOTES: In a ‘going backward to move forward’ type move, Norris turned to their very basic No. 10 box-style mitre plane design as inspiration for their new “Patent Adjustable” No. 11 mitre plane. This made sense when you look at it. After all, it would be rather difficult and somewhat clumsy if they were to just add an adjuster to their improved No. 11. Best to keep it as simple as possible, and the box design is probably easier for most people to use anyway – especially for shooting mitres and end grain.

Needless to say that this plane is quite rare and very expensive.
