NOTES: Introduced in the 1914 catalogue and dropped from the Norris lineup by the 1928 catalogue, the No. 16C smoother is one of Norris’s rarer planes. The plane illustrated in the catalogue appears to have a much sharper taper than on the examples found.
Because of the short production run and scarcity of these planes, clean examples tend to fetch high prices.
